What clients say

“I have known Gerard for two decades and have engaged him whilst at Bird & Bird LLP, Sydney (formerly Truman Hoyle) and Be Amorgos. I have in the past worked with many legal teams both in-house and external, Gerard brings a rare depth of expertise in complex large-scale international contracting. Gerard’s engagements with Conversys PRC have involved top four Chinese state-owned automotive manufacturers, tier one consultancies, Chinese state-owned telecom operators and world leading media companies, where he has led in legal strategy, managed nuances of complex multinational contracting, understood in-depth risk in areas of innovative technology development, Ai and big data analytics.

I highly recommend Gerard as a leading strategic and legal advisor, dedicated to innovating his offering, and delivering well above most famous legal brand names.”

Alex Csergo – CEO Conversys PRC

“Gerard has supplied legal and advisory services to both RoleWorks and Diversitas over the last 3 years. As a small and emerging business, we need the right advice, at the right price and at the right time. It has been a real privilege to deal with Gerard and we are extremely grateful to have his ‘world-class’ skills and advice, which ordinarily would only be accessible to large business. He is a really good listener and strikes the right balance between risk mitigation and commercial practicality. His knowledge is broad and diverse and he comes with a wealth of insights which extend far beyond the legal remit. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs expert legal support from someone who genuinely cares about his clients outcomes.”

Carol Brown – Founder and CEO of Diversitas and RoleWorks

“I have worked closely with Gerard over the past 4 years, in his capacity as legal counsel for our commercial relationship with a large, complex and strategic global account. Throughout this time Gerard has demonstrated his wealth of commercial legal experience and insight when constructing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for IT managed services and technology transformation programmes. Gerard has always been extraordinarily dedicated and dependable in his delivery of legal services; frequently working to very demanding timeframes and with challenging contractual complexity. His guidance has been invaluable, well founded and astute, making him a key contributor to ensuring a successful commercial relationship with a highly valued client.”

Bernadette Mason – Business Development Executive, Avanade UK

“In the legal profession there are few people who can say they have worked on and led negotiations for exceedingly complex IT transactions that are able to work across the whole of the deal and understand it technically, financially and from a business perspective and have the title of lawyer. Gerard is one of those rare individuals from my experience at EDS who has now joined private practice and would be a valuable resource to any negotiation or sourcing team as a leader. I would not hesitate to engage him and he is a “must have” resource in the IT&T world.”

Chris Monsour – Vice President and General Counsel Asia-Pacific, Diebold Nixdorf (formerly Deputy Counsel for EDS Australia)

“I had the privilege of Gerard being seconded to us from Truman Hoyle. Gerard is an exceptionally bright lawyer who thrives when dealing with big complex matters. A true professional, calm, pragmatic and a good sense of humour!”
